Who Should Use I-DEFENCE?

I-DEFENCE® is specifically designed for individuals seeking relief from Severe Chronic Dry Eye Disease and Lagophthalmos symptoms. It is a long-lasting lubricating ointment that offers superior moisturization and protection to the ocular surface. Please note that it should not be used with contact lenses.

With its formulation containing 0.40% sodium hyaluronate, I-DEFENCE® excels at delivering maximum and enduring relief from dry eye symptoms while being well-tolerated by patients. The most effective application of I-DEFENCE® is at night, while the patient sleeps, allowing the ointment to remain on the cornea for an extended period.

The unique viscous properties of I-DEFENCE® ensure prolonged contact with the ocular surface. This hydrating ointment provides soothing relief for dry eye symptoms, including soreness, irritation, or a gritty sensation in the eyes, while also acting as a barrier against moisture loss. It can also be used during surgical procedures and is particularly beneficial for patients experiencing nocturnal lagophthalmos.
