Dr. Kit Tung Ip

Dr. Kit Tung Ip, OD, FAAO

Dr. Kit Tung Ip received her Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from University of Waterloo. She then pursued her Doctorate of Optometry at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, where she graduated as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Ip has been an important contributor to the development of specialty contact lens and dry eye clinics in the greater Boston area of Massachusetts, and now brings her experience from the prestigious Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, a multidisciplinary eye care center, to Gordon Wood Eye Associates.

Dr. Ip is experienced in primary care optometry seeing both children and adults, and in specialty and custom contact lens fitting for high prescriptions, non satisfactory post-surgical visual outcomes or irregular corneas, prosthetics, and conventional daily contact lens wear. Her passion in specialty contact lenses and vision rehabilitation motivates her to push the boundaries of traditional methods in order to establish the best solution for those suffering from reduced vision due to barriers created by the patient’s ocular profile.

Being licensed in both Canada and the US, she is thrilled to be back in her hometown of Toronto and to serve the community she grew up in. She is proud to provide eye care services in English, Cantonese and Mandarin fluently. When she is not seeing patients in clinics, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, listening to music and travelling.

Dr. Tracy Qu

Dr. Tracy Qu, OD

Dr. Tracy Qu earned her Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from McMaster University before obtaining her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO). During her training at ICO, she completed extensive clinical rotations across diverse settings in Chicago, Florida, Vaughan, and Toronto. Dr. Qu has a strong clinical interest in myopia management, with expertise in spectacle lenses, atropine therapy, soft contact lenses, and rigid orthokeratology lenses. She also focuses on the diagnosis, management and treatment of ocular diseases and dry eye.

Dr. Qu is a registered member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the College of Optometrists of Ontario. She provides comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages and is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Qu enjoys exploring new cuisines, playing pickleball, and watercolouring.

Dr. Jaclyn Chiu

Dr. Jaclyn Chiu, OD

Dr. Jaclyn Chiu is a dedicated optometrist known for her compassionate approach and commitment to high‑quality, personalized eye care. She earned her Honours Bachelor of Medical Sciences from the University of Western Ontario and her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo, graduating with distinction.

Through her clinical training, Dr. Chiu gained broad experience caring for patients of all ages and developed strong skills in managing ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. She also has focused expertise in contact lenses, dry eye therapy, and myopia management. She is a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario and the Ontario Association of Optometrists.

Dr. Chiu is committed to understanding each patient’s unique visual needs and providing thoughtful, long‑term care that supports both eye health and quality of life. She values building meaningful relationships and is proud to serve her community.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys exploring Toronto’s food scene, travelling, and spending time with friends and family.

 

Ruth Almond

Ruth Almond - Registered Optician

Ruth graduated with honours from the Georgian College opticianry program in 1998, and has been part of the Gordon Wood Optical team since she was a 2nd year student, whether as a full-time or part-time member.

She loves to meet new people and help them see as clearly as possible, along with assisting them to find their new eyeglass styles. Ruth also worked with an ophthalmologist, and has a great deal of experience with counselling cataract and dry eye patients.

Like our founder, Gordon Wood, Ruth is very involved with horses and spends a great deal of her free time with her horse, Oscar, with whom she competes in dressage. She is also a music fan, and enjoys going to see live bands at different venues. She loves Fluevog Shoes; everyone cannot help but notice the beautiful collection she owns!

 

Kam Tung Ip

Kam Tung Ip - Registered Optician

Kam's infectious enthusiasm makes every interaction with her enjoyable. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from the University of Waterloo and is a proud graduate of the Opticianry program at Georgian College, earning a place on the Dean's List. Kam is a licensed Registered Optician with both the College of Opticians of Ontario and the American Board of Opticianry.

Her warm and open-minded personality shines through in her passion for working with people. Kam derives immense joy from assisting patients in choosing their new glasses, and many have reported receiving compliments like never before. She is dedicated to providing the best possible vision and frames that align with each individual's personality.

In her free time, Kam enjoys savoring culinary delights, exploring new destinations, and embarking on adventures with her child.

Courtney Gunn

Courtney Gunn - Registered Optician

Courtney graduated from Georgian College opticianry program with honors.  She is very understanding and pleasant with people.  When not at work, she would be spending time with her beloved cats and going up north to explore.  

 

Haniel Felicitas

Haniel Felicitas - Registered Optician

Haniel is a proud graduate of Seneca College, on the Dean's List. She loves finding pairs of glasses on patients that not only suit their face but also feel super comfortable. She's a bit of a glasses collector herself—her goal is to have up to 20 pairs! While she usually leans toward minimalist styles, she’s not afraid to mix it up with something bold now and then.

Haniel is happy to offer assistance in both English and Tagalog. When she’s not at work, you’ll probably find her exploring small towns, trying out new food spots, cooking up something delicious, or binge-watching anime and K-dramas.

 

 

Elise Luong - Patient Care Coordinator

Elise is a key member of our team, overseeing administrative duties and ensuring smooth operations with her background in administration. She also supports patients in selecting eyewear and helps them choose the perfect style. Fluent in both Vietnamese and English, Elise is committed to providing a welcoming and professional experience for all our patients. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new towns and cities, studying languages, and collecting vintage pieces, all of which fuel her passion for discovering new cultures and histories.

Greaty Justin - Optical Assistant

Greaty Justin brings a refreshing energy to the store with her warm and welcoming presence. With a strong artistic background, she greets every visitor with her soft-spoken kindness and bright smile, styles everyone with eager. Greaty also speaks Sri Lankan Tamil fluently and can understand beginner-level Japanese and Korean, skills she picked up through experiences growing up. Outside of work, she is a proud homebody who enjoys playing games, diving into good books, and spending time with her beloved dog, Prince. Her gentle nature and enthusiasm make her a wonderful addition to our team.
